According to statistics from the World Aluminum Association, there are 72.3 million light-duty vehicles in the world in 2019. The maximum amount of aluminum used in North America is 148kg per vehicle, and that in China is only 100kg per vehicle. According to the author's estimation, the amount of aluminum used in North America for light-duty vehicles in 2019 has reached 180kg/unit, and the amount of aluminum used in China is about 120kg/unit. If by 2025, China's light-duty vehicle output can reach 25 million, and the amount of aluminum used can reach 180kg/vehicle, the amount of aluminum can reach 3,600kt. This is an encouraging figure.
