A00 Aluminum Ingot Price Extends Rise across China; Spot Premium Plunges RMB10/T
The A00 aluminum ingot price continues to grow today, on March 19, to reach RMB 13,870 per ton, found Shanghai Metals Market. Yesterday, on March 18, the price was at RMB 13,810 per ton, which represents that it has grown today by RMB 60 per ton. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 13,850 per ton and RMB 13,890 per ton, with spot premium to settle at RMB 220 per ton to RMB 260 per ton. Yesterday the spot premium was expected to settle at RMB 230 per ton to RMB 270 per ton, which shows that it has dipped by RMB 10 per ton today.
In the east (Wuxi and Jiangsu), the ingot price has grown by RMB 90 per ton to stand at RMB 13,885 per ton and RMB 13,900 per ton. In the south and north, on the other hand, the ingot prices are up by RMB 70 per ton and RMB 80 per ton to hover at RMB 13,860 per ton and RMB 13,840 per ton, respectively.
As far as the input costs are concerned, none among the alumina, bauxite, prebaked anode, aluminum fluoride, and aluminum powder has registered any change across the China market, as on today, March 19.
The price of aluminum alloy (A356), however, has risen by RMB 50 per ton to stand at RMB 14,550 per ton in the background of back-to-back aluminum ingot price hike. The prices of aluminum alloys (ADC12) and aluminum alloy (A380) have not recorded any change and still hovering at RMB 14,800 per ton and RMB 15,500 per ton, respectively.
